Painting and Drawing from Life: with Mary Flinn

In this class we will paint from observation in the landscape and also still life, using acrylic or gouche and drawing materials. You will learn how to create depth and space using ‘value’-light to dark; ‘hue’-colors; ‘intensity’-saturation of hue and ‘color contrast’ such as warm to cool and complimentary colors. Working from life will encourage a more sensitive awareness that helps with colors and shapes in the world around you.
