Mixed Media Exploring the Abstract Landscape: with Tim Ebneth

This class explores the landscape through mixed media. Using various materials like ink, acrylic, pastels, and graphite creates dynamic pieces that capture the essence of a landscape in unique ways. The combination of working from photographs, life, and memory encourages personal interpretation and expression, which is essential in art – making. At the start of each class warm up exercises spark creativity and loosen up the hand and mind. Weekly homework assignments build on the class lessons to reinforce skills and concepts, helping students deepen their understanding of mixed media techniques. We will look at contemporary landscape art and artists to provide inspiration and context. The class is open to those with prior experience.
