Figure Painting Workshop

Adults Only

Expand your figure drawing practice into painting in this three-session workshop featuring a professional male model. Over the course of three 2.5-hour sessions, artists will work on one pose over the three weeks and will develop a finished painting while refining their approach to composition, form, and color. This course is uninstructed, and participants will work at their own pace in a supportive environment.

Session 1: Focus on composition, sketching, and establishing values.
Session 2: Begin laying down paint, developing structure and depth.
Session 3: Add final details and refinements to complete your painting.

Participants are encouraged to bring their preferred painting materials. The model will pose in one pose, with drapery incorporated for comfort and artistic interest. The Art School’s director will be on-site to welcome artists and ensure a respectful, focused environment. This workshop offers a supportive space for artists of all levels to build their figure painting skills.
