The Art of Summer Youth Program

The Art School of Columbia County has created this exciting summer program by working with Art Teachers who are Practicing Visual Artists AND Experienced Teachers. They are here to inspire our youth and to offer young people opportunities to learn about art and help them develop their artistic potential in a fun and challenging yet noncompetitive environment.

Each week is designed to be unique and young people can sign up for weekly sessions. These art explorations will have young people delving into hands-on art experiences in drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and clay.

The weekly sessions will be held outside under a tent within an environment created just for young people while still close to the studio facilities. The surroundings boast of beautiful landscaping, terraced gardens and views of verdant pastures.

Sessions are:
9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for 5 – 8 year olds
1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for 9 – 12 year olds
Tuesday, July 5 – Friday, July 8
