Description
What is fiber art? Is it stitched or woven? Flat or sculptural? Quilted, knitted or dyed? Textile art often takes on a personal meaning beyond the literal use of the materials. In this class we will be taking a meditative and intuitive approach to hand stitching while using needle and thread as an artistic medium. You will learn basic stitch techniques, and make small sewn works using textiles, found objects, and stitching as mark-making, for your piece of personal expression.
