As we enter our fifth year of offering high-quality art classes to the community, we are excited to house our sixth semi-annual Student-Faculty Art Show on May 20, 2017 from 5-7 pm. Meet ASCC students and faculty, stroll the Art School’s spring gardens (at their peak!), view both student and faculty art work, and enjoy a bountiful reception. We are also excited to announce the return of our heirloom seed sale, featuring seeds from ASCC’s gardens – limited supplies only, and will have a special art history quiz with prizes!
New this year, ASCC’s art and art-history themed silent auction packages will be open for bidding online. The silent auction features gift cards and donations from community businesses and cultural organizations including The Clark Art Museum, Norman Rockwell Museum, Olana, GCCA, Hudson-Athens Lighthouse, and Thomas Cole NHS. Bid on a dinner for two from Food Studio (Hudson NY) or a private wine-and-cheese tasting party for up to 6 from the Hudson Chatham Winery (Ghent NY). Art supplies and gift certificates from Blue Q, Catskill Art & Office Supply, The Chatham Bookstore, Great Finds, Paper Trail, The Warm Ewe, and a hand-painted t-shirt from GOLDEN Artist Color are also available for bidding. The proceeds of the silent auction and heirloom seed sale help support ASCC’s free art outreach programs in the community, from pre-Kindergarteners to those in their 90s and above.
See you soon at the school.
