Employment Opportunity: Program Coordinator, Art School of Columbia County
The Art School of Columbia County, a nonprofit community art organization, seeks a responsible, efficient, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic person who has a love for the arts and arts education. This position involves about 50% of contact time with the public and 50% administrative work. This position will assist in developing, promoting, and managing ASCC’s art programming, including on-site classes and off-site outreach programs in the community. Some travel within Columbia County and nearby areas will be required. This position develops, researches, writes, and proofreads written and visual materials to help support and promote ASCC’s programs, and prepares and maintains inventories of art supplies and other materials. This position reports to the Executive Director and works collaboratively with ASCC’s faculty, staff, and volunteers.
Additional responsibilities include: assistance with art receptions, art exhibits, volunteer coordination, and light maintenance and cleaning. The position will interact with and answer questions from students and the public, assist ASCC with class logistics, and ensure that ASCC’s safety practices and other policies are implemented during programs.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized and possess strong communication, prioritization, administrative, and proofreading skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will enjoy welcoming and working with people and have a background with the visual arts and education. Familiarity with nonprofit/arts approaches to social media a plus.

16 hrs/week @ $15-18/hour depending on experience. Additional hours may be added. This position is year-round.
Employment Opportunity: Faculty Member, Art School of Columbia County
The Art School of Columbia County, a nonprofit community art school, seeks new faculty for teaching fine art classes to adults and older teens at the Old Schoolhouse. We are also seeking highly talented instructors for our innovative Art on Wheels programs who enjoy the challenges of working in varied settings, and teaching and working with a broad range of people from our community. This outreach program involves teaching children grades K-12 throughout Columbia County, and working with the elderly and special needs groups. Please note that teaching at ASCC is part-time employment.
We seek faculty with:
- a strong record of professional study and/or exhibiting achievement
- a desire to work as part of the teaching faculty of a nonprofit organization
- a background in teaching or strong interest in developing teaching skills
- a desire to work independently and collaboratively to further the Art School’s mission
