Collage, portraits, self-portraits, family memories, and much conversation: all came together last week during ASCC’s “Art & Memories” program at Camphill Ghent. ASCC faculty member Tim Ebneth and ASCC volunteer Sharon Rutkowski assisted residents in combining copies of family photos, fine-art images collected from magazines, origami paper, graphite, and ink to explore memories of family and friends. We also did portraits and self-portraits – with amazing results! The program sparked many conversations and memories, and take-home discussion sheets will encourage visiting family and friends to continue the sharing.
We’d like to thank our generous volunteers for their assistance in making this program possible, and the staff of Camphill Ghent for hosting us. Part of ASCC’s free outreach initiative, Art on Wheels, “Art & Memories” was made possible through a grant from the Fund for Columbia County of the Berkshire Taconic Foundation, volunteer help, and the support of generous community donors like you.
