Up-cycle and help the Art School! Our third annual Frame, Canvas & Art Supply Sale is held on September 9 from 10 am – 4 pm. Donations of good-condition art supplies (brushes, paints, frames, canvasses, and art books) are being accepted. Donation drop-offs times are 1-5 pm on Tuesdays August 22, 29, Sept 5, Saturday August 26, and Thursdays August 24, 31, and Sept 7. More information is here.
For the best selection and an enjoyable evening, come to the Pre-View Party (you may shop during the party) from 5-7 pm on Friday, September 8. Admission is $10 and includes wine, cheese and desserts. Admission is free for K-12 teachers with ID.
The sale is an opportunity to up-cycle art supplies or frames you are no longer using, and shop for great bargains on quality art supplies. The sale is from 10 am – 4 pm and all items are half price from 3-4 pm.
As part of the sale, a class “The Materials and Framing of Art” is from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm, giving an overview of various art media and framing techniques. Register online here.
A NYSCA DEC grants seminar, free and open to the public, will be presented by the Community Arts Grants Coordinator of the GCCA staff from 1:30-3:00 pm.
Classes and the upcoming sale are held at ASCC. All proceeds go to support art programming at ASCC. We serve over 1200 members of our community each year with programming in libraries, schools, senior centers, and at our historic schoolhouse.
